Greetings to my favorite food group!
From classic favorites to innovative treats, discover a collection of irresistible recipes that will satisfy every craving. Included is all things sugary, chocolaty, and candied. My goal here is to include delicious creations for everyone, whether you’re a novice or a seasoned baker. The dessert section will be the most interesting to to pursue, at least from my perspective.
Honestly, rediscovering my Grandma’s old recipe books has been a great way to reconnect with my family’s past while also creating dishes for current gathering. I have inherited a fairly sizable library of family cookbooks over the years. Of course, many of the entries are fairly straight forward – variations on a chocolate chip cookie for example. Other recipe entries seem a little more abstract to me, as we’ll see with the one of sugar cookie recipes, that seem to assume baking knowledge that may or may not be lost to time.
I so look forward to (re)learning and reconnecting with so many of the family favorite desserts. I’ve worked to make these recipes easy-to-follow instructions, as I understand them, and helpful tips ensure perfect results every time.
