What can I say, other than to acknowledge some of the recipes in the family cookbooks hold mysterious instructions that I have not had time to untangle. I’m certain that it’s entirely benign, run of the mill, gaps in my home-making skills set, but still… I am curious about several of these baking instructions that are light on details while promising untold delights.
This will be the collection point for such attempts to recreate partially lost dinning endeavors.

Grandma’s Sugar Cookies – this is the first on the list of recipes I’d like to learn how to make. I found this gem hidden away in mom’s notecard recipe book. Of course, it seems to take for granted some general knowledge that skipped a generation or three.
